Description
The Booster K1 Geek Edition is the entry edition of Booster's K1, a compact bipedal humanoid about 95 cm tall and 19.5 kg with 22 degrees of freedom. It computes on a high-performance ARM processor with 48 TOPS (dense) of AI computing, 8 GB of memory and 128 GB of storage, and walks for about 20 minutes on its 2 Ah battery, which charges on its own charger in up to 2 hours.
The body is the same as on every K1. Two joints in the head, four in each arm and six in each leg, with dual encoders and up to 60 N·m peak torque, walk the robot forwards, backwards, sideways and in combined gaits at up to 2 m/s, turn it at up to 1.5 rad/s, recover its balance after a push and get it back up after a fall. A stereo depth camera running at 30 fps and a microphone array sit in the head, with a 9-axis IMU and a speaker in the torso; the arms end without hands or grippers.
Six Agents run out of the box and switch from the Booster App or the handheld controller: Booster for everyday actions and dances, Soccer, Hi Chat for real-time conversation in Chinese or English (with an internet connection), Teach, Dance and Lion Dance. The Geek Edition is open to secondary development like its siblings, with the Python and C++ SDKs, ROS 2 Humble on the robot, URDF and MJCF models and simulation in Isaac Lab, MuJoCo and Webots. It comes with its charger, the remote controller and a protective divider in Booster's printed retail box.
For more computing and walking time on the same body, the K1 Education carries an NVIDIA Jetson Orin NX 8GB (117 TOPS) and the K1 Professional a Jetson AGX Orin 32GB (200 TOPS), both with a 5 Ah battery charged in the robot for about 1 h 10 min of walking.

In the computer, the battery and the packaging. The Geek Edition has a 48 TOPS (dense) ARM processor with 8 GB of memory and 128 GB of storage; the K1 Education an NVIDIA Jetson Orin NX 8GB with 117 TOPS and 512 GB; the K1 Professional a Jetson AGX Orin 32GB with 200 TOPS, 32 GB and 512 GB. The Geek's 2 Ah battery gives about 20 minutes of walking and has its own charger; the other two have a 5 Ah battery charged in the robot for about 1 h 10 min, and their camera can be set to 60 fps. The body, sensors, Agents and SDKs are the same on all three.
Yes, every K1 edition is open to secondary development. The Python SDK (boosteros, Python 3.10 or later) reads images, IMU, joints and odometry and sends mode, velocity, joint, action and audio commands; the C++ SDK runs on Fast DDS and is compatible with ROS 2, and ROS 2 Humble runs on the robot on Ubuntu 22.04. URDF and MJCF models, Isaac Lab and Isaac Sim, MuJoCo, Webots and the Booster Studio IDE cover simulation, and CUSTOM mode hands every joint to your code.
The K1 robot, its charger, the remote controller and a protective divider, in Booster's printed retail box on a foam tray inside a shipping carton. The K1 Education and K1 Professional ship differently, in a wheeled hard transport case with a folding stool. The full packing list of your edition is confirmed with your quotation.
About 20 minutes of walking at 1.1 m/s on its 2 Ah battery. The battery charges on the Geek Edition's own charger in up to 2 hours and lasts at least 500 charge cycles. For longer sessions, the K1 Education and K1 Professional have a 5 Ah battery for about 1 h 10 min.
In an open, flat area of at least 2 m × 2 m with no people or obstacles in the robot's range, at −10 °C to 45 °C and 5–90 % humidity without condensation. Full-body dances need a hard floor such as rubber, cement or tile; carpet raises the risk of a fall. While the robot moves, touch it only by the carrying handle, and never lift it in WALK mode. Use a hoist when developing in CUSTOM mode.
The K1 Geek Edition ships with Booster's manufacturer warranty. It is sourced new through established distribution channels and ships worldwide, and technical support is coordinated with the manufacturer's service network. Booster's online documentation centre holds the K1 product manual, the developer guide and the release notes, with video lessons from unboxing to packing.
